Purchased new on April 19, 1971 from Von Schledorn Pontiac in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin, this Formula has had only two previous owners. (Protect-O-Plate included). Its finished in its factory original color, Laurentian Green (Code M - 1971 color swatches included) with Saddle color Bucket Seats (Code 213). The Laurentian Green paint is buffed & polished to a mirror-like shine. All chrome & original stainless trim is in show quality condition. You can walk around this Formula and not find a bad angle. The authentic restoration on this car is wonderful. The undercarriage is show-ready. The stock Rally 2 steel Wheels and rocker moldings are original. 1971 was the year Pontiacs 455 H.O. engine achieved 480 Foot Pounds of torque. A desirable quality of the 455 H.O. engines was the Select Fit process during line assembly of the engines. This allowed for closer tolerances resulting in a nearly blueprinted engine - direct from the factory. (Torque dropped to 415 ft. lbs. in 1972). This dual exhaust splendor includes a “Hurst shifter, front fender extractors, an Endura bumper, side door guard beams, a 160 mph speedometer, and 8000 RPM tachometer. Original factory options include: C60 - Frigidaire Factory Air Conditioning. LS5 - 455 H.O. engine with Rochester Quadra-Jet 4 BBL carburetor.
