VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1964 Austin Mini for sale in Alpharetta, Georgia

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent this 1964 Austin 850 Mini Cooper. The Mark I Mini (1959-1967) was the first version of British Motor Corporations Mini. It is characterized by its sliding windows, external door hinges and moustache grille. In the United Kingdom the Mark I was produced between 1959 and 1967, with production in Australia continuing until 1970. The Mini Mark I was sold under both Austin and Morris marque names. A more powerful Mini Cooper, dubbed the S, was developed in tandem and released in 1963. These came standard with a 1,275cc motor. This particular 1964 Austin Mini was a barn find in North Carolina and has subsequently been through a full restoration. Powering this 64 Mini is a rebuilt 4-cylinder motor originally 1,275cc now pushing 1,380cc with a list of mods and new materials. Backing this power plant is a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission. From powertrain to drivetrain, suspension to cosmetics, this 1964 Austin Mini has been completely rebuilt with nearly $30,000 in receipts! Although its not a factory Cooper S, this well-built replica has every desirable part necessary to outcompete with a factory S mini. The fresh Deep Red paint presents very well complimented by the authentic Union Jack logo on the full roof and White racing stripes on the hood along with the front light bar! Space is not an issue either... the car was built with size in mind! Boasting a modified dash and seat brackets, anyone 63 and under can enjoy the drive! In the cabin of this 1964 Austin Mini you will appreciate the cozy Corbeau bucket seats, the 3-piece walnut dash, and a modern tach and steering wheel. If youre in the market for a cool classic built how every enthusiast would enjoy, this 1964 Austin Mini is one to consider!
