Under the long hood of this crimson classic is a 425 cubic inch Ultra-High compression “Rocket V8 rated at a very healthy 370 horsepower. A 3-speed automatic transmission handles the gear-shifting so you can focus on enjoying the sound of the 7.0l monster under the hood. A unique one-year only feature of the 65 model year is the exhaust exiting out the sides of the quarter panels which make for a very unique conversation starter. This Starfire has recently had an extensive mechanical restoration by a “B-body aficionado and drives like a dream. In addition, the interior was reupholstered in vinyl and leather and both the front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. Turning the key results in the satisfactory rumble from the Oldsmobile Rocket V8 and this Starfire just rolls with ease down the road.
