Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1977 Chevrolet Corvette! In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 corvette. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 15 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. This nice example is from later in the C3 era, 1977. That year there were alterations to the steering wheel column and wrap to the radio and sun visors. This 77 is colored in Light Blue and is in nice condition. Inside is white leather to keep you cool and comfortable. Under the hood is what vettes are known for, the 5.7L V8 and mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Current owner bought it from the original owner in TN and has had the car for over 13 years! Upon purchase in 2007 the car was repainted when it had 55k miles on it. Engine was rebuilt at the same time and runs smooth today. Odometer shows 59k miles today, it is believed they are original. Only things known that are not working are the heat, radio, cig lighter and clock. Owner pulled fuse to keep cig. Lighter and clock off so it would not drain the battery. Air conditioning is operational. This car really is a nice example and a very good driver.
