VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1967 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Houston, Texas

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this amazing 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Pro-Street restomod for sale. Covered in an eye-popping yellow with white racing stripes paint scheme, it is pops out of the crowd at any car show! And thats even before you crank it up - when this beast lights off, it doesnt matter what color it is, everyone will turn to see whats making that huge snarl. Powered by a 6.2L LS3, backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission, this is one mean ProStreet car, and with only about 500 miles on the drivetrain, this nasty Camaro has plenty of driving still to be done. The LS3 is enhanced by a Cold Air Intake, bigger throttle body and injectors, and Brian Tooley Stage 3 cam, which has a significant lope, and provides tons of top-end power. So much so, that when you hit its sweet spot, youll swear it feels like it has nitrous (which it doesnt, but oh my, itll thrill you)! Spent gases are scavenged by a set of ceramic coated DynaTech headers into the huge dual exhaust. The 6-speed automatic is enhanced with the addition of a 3800 RPM stall converter and has been built to handle the prodigious power that the LS3 is now putting out. An Aerospace Components Pro-Eliminator ratchet shifter handles the gear selection and provides a clean clutter-free look on the transmission tunnel. A massive BeCool aluminum radiator (with its twin Spal electric fans) helps keeps the mill running cool all day long, and a horizontally mounted trans cooler out back (also with its own fan) helps keep the trans cool as well. A gigantic Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump handles fuel transfer from the fuel cell out back up to the front, and an inline pressure gauge helps tuners monitor the fuel pressure. A complete Holley pulley kit makes for easy implementation of belt-driven accessories, including the Classic Auto Air A/C setup, which provides excellent cockpit cooling in a car that never had it from the factory. A completely new wiring harness also bodes well for reliability. This 1967 Camaro rides and drives like no one would have ever expected when it was built in 1967, because the suspension and brakes have been enhanced dramatically with modern componentry. Upgrades include lightweight tubular upper and lower control arms, urethane suspension bushings, coil-over shocks at all 4 corners, twin-piston Aerospace Components brake calipers all around, drilled brake rotors, a Wilwood master cylinder (with proportioning valve), welded-in subframe connectors, adjustable rear ladder bar suspension, and a complete Strange Engineering Ford 9-inch style third member. The Strange Engineering third member is housing a Detroit Locker differential with 33 spline Strange Engineering axles, and 4.10:1 gears; so, its got plenty of beef to handle getting that twist to the pavement. The four-point roll cage helps further stiffen the body against the massive torque twist that the drivetrain can apply through the car. Billet Specialties aluminum wheels at all 4 corners are wrapped in 26X8.00R15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R radials up front, and P325/50R15 Mickey Thompson E/T Street Drag Radials out back. Inside the cockpit, youll quickly notice the yellow/black/white motif carries over nicely. From the custom white door panels, to the new white synthetic leather seating surfaces, to the new black carpet, its obvious that the car has been used very sparingly. A wood-rimmed Grant steering wheel sits atop a tilt column, and nicely frames the high-end Dakota Digital electronic gauge cluster. The left side houses the big speedo with individual sub-gauges for the fuel level and coolant temp, and the right is the tach with its subsidiary oil pressure and battery gauges. The gauge cluster can be programmed to monitor or provide additional driving information in the digital sectors at the bottom of each major gauge. The center stack houses the controls for the Classic Auto Air (with both heat and A/C), plus the vintage style AM/FM radio (which isnt hooked up). Once you get your bearings inside, fasten the seat belts (front occupants only), fire it up, and get motoring! If youre looking for a turn-key Pro-Street 1st gen Camaro, you cant go wrong with this one. Its ready to rock your world, so grab it before someone else does. Additional features and options on this nasty yellow 1967 Chevrolet Camaro for sale include Air Conditioning, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, AM/FM vintage style radio, Power Steering, Posi-traction differential, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Tilt Wheel, and Vinyl Interior.
