For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful 1972 Chevrolet El Camino 454 SS. A full frame-off restoration was completed around 2006, and the body mounts were replaced with polyurethane. Virtually all of the hardware was replaced with new parts to keep this build fresh for years to come. Unfortunately, the original 454 has been lost to the vehicles past, but a 454 from 79 resides in its place that has been hopped up to perform as good as this car looks. A Frontrunner serpentine pulley system was added to simplify maintenance and enhance the aesthetics are this sharp Ute. Though originally an automatic transmission, it was pulled in favor of a 4-speed manual transmission. From a distance this 72 454 SS may look black but get close and you will see the sparkle of the violet mica pearl flake set into the deep paint. The white stripes pop across the deep purple hood. The black interior is in fantastic shape and glistens in the sun. Tubular front control arms with poly mounts keep the suspension geometry in check for any aggressive driving. With the sound that comes from the long tube headers out the tail pipes, youre definitely going to want to drive it hard! This El Camino has been garage kept since the restoration, and has only seen about 4,000 miles since completed!
