The body style it is a mixture of old and new with a chrome bumper on the rear and a urethane front bumper. The front bumper on these were changed to meet Federal Safety requirements in a 5 MPH crash. Other changes in 1973 include: a new coolant overflow recovery system, sound deadening material sprayed on interior panels for a quiter ride, new chassis mounts that better isolate road chatter and vibration, recessed wipers replaced the vacuum controlled panel that were prone to failure on previous years, steel beams were added inside the doors to improve side impact protection, and rear luggage space increased by 2 in height. So the 1973 Corvette was quieter, safer, and a better driving vehicle than previous years thanks to these changes! This is the original color combination of Red paint with a Saddle interior. The engine has been rebuilt but it is still powered by the numbers matching engine, 4-speed transmission, and rear end.
