Under the hood of this large bodied land yacht is a 390 cubic inch FE V8 which succeeded the 352 V8 found in earlier Thunderbird models. The 390 supplied a healthy 300 plus horsepower which was very ahead of its era in terms of performance. The V8 is paired to a smooth shifting automatic transmission making moving forward even more luxurious at feel.
