The 1987 Porsche 924S, was a major step up after Porsche fitted its most-affordable sports car with the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine as the 944, slightly detuned to 147 horsepower compared with 163 in the bigger car. The suspension also was improved. The reason for the 924S engine upgrade was twofold: to bring more power to the 924, naturally, but more so because VW had decided to stop manufacturing the 2.0-liter engine, leaving Porsche in the lurch. This cool little 924S is still in its original Guards Red paint and looks amazing. The interior is a nice light gray leather and look like new. Then 2.5L 4-cyl engine is mated to a 5-speed manual that make driving this little handling machine a dream. With only 3 owners and 61,145 original miles, this Porsche has a lot of life left for the next owner to enjoy.
