VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1956 Mercury Montclair for sale in DFW Airport, Texas

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is proud to present a one of a kind, documented, 1956 Mercury Montclair Restomod. ?The Mercury nameplate has always stood for classic looks, power and performance. Of course, the high-water mark for the famed winged messenger was the early 1950s when everyone that was anyone in the custom-car realm had to have a chopped ‘50 “Merc. Thats not meant to rule out the mid-‘50s Mercurys when it comes to classic looks and performance. This particular example, a 1956 Mercury Montclair Custom is rather rare due to the fact that most mid-‘50s custom Mercurys were Montclair hardtops rather than the Custom 2-door sedan. There is no doubt that this Montclair Custom is a fine example that really pulls off a custom look in high style. Check out those sweet period-correct Texas license plates, offset with shimmering Dark Blue Metallic paint covering a fully prepared chassis that has been lowered and upgraded with power front disc brakes and power steering. Wheels and tires consist of ION 5-spoke aluminum wheels rolling on General Tire HP-1 radial rubber. Motivation comes in the form of a fully dressed out, Ford Racing 351-Windsor small-block with dual exhaust backed up by a Ford automatic transmission. Creature comforts include GM-type 6-way tilt steering, leather-wrapped billet steering wheel, Vintage Air Climate Control, power windows, and a Sony Audio system with CD player all wrapped up in luxurious Caramel soft leather with contrasting navy blue carpeting. Exterior treatments include de-chroming, shaving, and decking as well as “frenching in the headlights and tail lights. Both front and rear bumper have also been smoothed and re-chromed. If you ever wanted to arrive in style, this Mercury looks perfectly ready for a Saturday night cruise to the local burger bar. Ford Racing Small Block 351ci V-8 Engine, 4-Barrel Carburetor, Dual Exhaust with Bright Tips, Automatic Transmission, Power Brakes with Front Discs, Dark Blue Metallic Paint, Luxurious Brown Leather Interior, Split Bench Seat, Tilting Steering Column, Vintage Air, Power Windows, Upgraded Sony CD Stereo, Chrome ION 5-Spoke Wheels General Radial Tires. This vehicle comes with a gigantic binder detailing the history since new and build history.
