With a monstrous 429 CID V8 thumping away under the hood paired with a C6 3-speed automatic transmission this Cougar was built to move. An overdrive/underdrive unit was installed at the back of the trans effectively splitting all the gears making it operate similarly to a 6-speed transmission with overdrive.
