This example has been lightly restomodded to include the installation of a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission not only giving a bit more pep in its step, but also improving economy and driver comfort. This Bel Air was factory equipped with the “Power Pack, which included a dual exhaust, 4-barrel carb, and a few other performance enhancements to bump power up from the standard 265 V8. Rear air shocks have also been installed to improve driver comfort. The engine has a smooth, low idle and the trans shifts like butter. The Bel Air floats down the road like a raft on a smooth river.
