Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1968 Dodge Charger for sale. Originally a 383, she has been upgraded to a date-code correct 440. She appears to have updated with regards to the vibrant Metallic Blue paint, and rear tail stripe. This car is a looker - from her stance, the color, and contrast with a Black vinyl roof and interior - to the Ridler custom wheels- you will find yourself staring! The consignor states the engine was rebuilt, added an Edelbrock Performer 440 intake, MSD ignition, aluminum valve covers, and chrome air cleaner for some dress-up. Functionally, a set of Headman headers were added along with exhaust cut-outs, and a Summit brake booster helper - to aid the 4-wheel disc brakes that were added. The rear suspension appears to have been updated as well with new leaf springs, shocks, and bushings. The consignor states that the 727 torque flight trans and rear end were all rebuilt at the time the engine was installed - and all have approx. 100-miles on them. In the wide world of muscle cars there are a select few that can claim to be iconic, and we are privileged to be offering one of these vehicles in our showroom. Looking inside, you will find black bucket seats, rear bench seat, and console that is reportedly original - all else was replaced.
