Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is presenting a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Gasser for sale. The second generation of the Bel Air, the 55, 56, and the 57, are known as the Tri Fives. They are one of the pillars of the Hot Rod Hall of Fame. This 55 has been done up in classic Gasser fashion. Lynchburg Tennessee, Whisky, and Gassers, what could be better? The exterior is Matte Black with classic Drag Race style graphics and a new set of Keystone mag wheels. The interior is done in Red speed boat style vinyl bucket seats and a bench rear seat. The dash is a combination of red and black and gauges and toggles. The contrasting Black headliner and carpet and an aftermarket console / armrest make one cool cockpit. This gasser is powered by a 427 CI dart small block and a T10 Borg Warner 4 speed transmission. The front clip, power rack and pinion steering and the disc brakes were purchased from Checker Racing. The rear end is a Ford 9 with disc brakes and a Yukon posi unit. Equipped with an MSD ignition system, Holley 850 Carburetor and Comp Cams hydraulic roller rockers and camshaft. All of this is kept cool by a new aluminum radiator.
