In the dawning age of the high-horsepower muscle car era, the 1964 Chevrolet Corvair stood as an alternative to import cars like the Volkswagen Beetle with its rear-engine, rear-drive configuration. This example is powered by the 2.7 Litre 6-cylinder engine, factory rated at 95-hp, mated to an automatic transmission. Unfortunately, the consignor has no documentation, and we are reporting our visual inspection. The odometer shows 88,000-miles and drives smooth, with an easy shifting gear box. She appears to have been repainted in White, and would consider it to be a nice driver quality job. The trim, emblems, and re-chromed bumpers - all show very nice. She was also optioned with a passenger sport mirror, sun shades on doors, gas door protector, and spoke hub caps. The Black vinyl bucket seat interior looks very nice, as it has been updated with new carpet, seat covers, and repainted areas and looks great! Both engine bay and trunk appear in original style and show very well. It would take very little to take this classic to another level - and not break the bank!!
