Dubbed the name “Betty, this LTD wagon has been in many television shows, movies, and commercials. Most recently she was Betty Drapers car in seasons 6 & 7 of the AMC TV show, Mad Men. Betty was manufactured in Los Angeles and has spent majority of her life in Southern California. She was originally purchased by collector Hiram Bond. In 2004 she was purchased by collector Jeff Frank, who lent Betty out to various film projects. Cosmetically, Betty is in excellent shape and has been repainted only once. Mr. Frank had the wood decals on the side removed, then applied a coat of the original color, Red, before adhering new wood decals. 1966 was the first year they introduced the “magic door which is a lift gate that opens from side to side, and up and down. It made it much easier for passengers to access the rear seats and easy access for cargo hauling. Betty is powered by her original engine, the all powerful 390 CID V8 that runs like a top. An automatic transmission shifts with ease as you lay into the gas of ol Betty. The parchment interior is in great shape as well, and is plenty cushy for long road trips or around the town cruising.
