The Chevelle became one of the more popular vehicles in Chevrolets lineup to upgrade and hotrod as they came with a pretty solid muscle car platform in the first place. This dark green metallic beauty started life as a 136 non-SS car and was upgraded with all the goodies in mind. Under the super striped hood resides a 454 cubic inch big block power plant which has been bored .030 over and outfitted with a Comp Cams hydraulic camshaft, larger cut valves in the cylinder heads, long tube Hooker headers going out to an x-pipe based exhaust to Flowmaster mufflers. This makes for classic muscle power and a choppy nostalgic sound that will be sure to have you showered with compliments. The Big Block is bolted to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive which offers a modern touch on cruising highway speeds when combined with the 3:55 rear gear ratio found inside the 12-bolt rear axle. Aside from having legendary performance under the hood, the Chevelle has some extras making this car an absolute dream to drive out on the road including air conditioning courtesy of Vintage Air, LED headlights, power steering, and an aftermarket radio deck with a CD player.
