V-8 mounted in a smaller, light frame with a revised four link suspensions setup. This guarantees the chevelle a better power to rate ration than its chunkier brothers and a solid platform through which to put its power down. This particular 67 chevelle is a true 138 series car repainted in a deep Blue. The color on this car alone is amazing, and flows perfectly into the black vinyl interior. Beyond that this car is more than just a poster child, The entire drive-train and suspension has been redone and beefed up for real performance. In the front of the car the owner opted to swap out the small 396 and replaced it with a 454Cui. V-8, he then proceeded to punch the motor out to a beefy 496 Cui! The motor is mated to a four -speed muncie M22 transmission that transfers the power down the custom driveshaft to the meaty GM 12 bolt rear end.
