Throughout the years the Corvette has been looked upon as the flagship sports car model for Chevrolet with each body style that has come and gone. The C3 body style had begun in the year 1968 and went all the way to the year 1982 featuring an array of engine and interior options which made the combination of what could have made each Corvette special infinite. The year 1982, the makers of the C3 decided to have the body style go out with a bang by featuring the first year of the L83 Crossfire Injection engine offered exclusively in the Corvette as a 350 cubic inch V8, as a 305 cubic inch variant was offered in the Camaros in 1983. The drivetrain setup also featured a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive, showing a consistent pattern that the Corvette was a sports car ahead of its time. The Corvette also features an unusual beige metallic exterior which is tastefully set off by black graphics behind the fender vents and centered on the hood. This flashy paint job is set off by a two-tone shiny beige interior to match the outside and give this car a truly rich appearance. This aesthetic setup is known as the Collectors Edition, which is one of the most sought-after versions of the C3 styled Corvette.
