The Cadillac brand has developed three V-8 engines becoming a standard in the American automotive industry. Since its inception, Cadillacs biggest selling point was that we use precision manufacturing which translates into excellent reliability. Body changes in 1939 included a new pointed grille with functional side grilles which were diecast with finch bars. The trunk now has the appearance of being an integral part of the body. Cadillac bodies are now completely all steel except for the wooden main sills. Optional side mounted tire covers were hinged to the front fenders. An option which this exceptional Series 75 has appointed with. New in 1939 were other advancements like a tube and fin radiator, seashell horns, and 10mm sparkplugs. This 1939 Cadillac Series 75 Formal Sedan is presented in formal black paint with a tan formal interior. Speaking of the interior, one needs only to open the suicide doors to realize the opulence this Series 75 displays. An area of a small parlor consisting of a large mohair bench seat (couch) with two matching fold down jump seats and footrest. There is even a glass roll up window to separate the driver from the rear seating area. Under the hood is a 346 cubic inch V-8 engine attached to three-speed synchromesh manual transmission.
