VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1934 Ford Phaeton for sale in Houston, Texas

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this sleek 1934 Ford Phaeton. 1934 was the year of Flash Gordan Comics, Naming the baseball, and the production of Ford Phaetons. This beautiful 34 Ford Phaeton came from NASCAR driver Dick Carters private collection. The car is from Arizona and has been restored into this beautiful Street Rod. Powered by a Chevrolet 327 CID V8 tied to a Holley Single 4 Barrel she can go without much of a struggle! The engine has been paired up to a TH350 Automatic transmission, so cruising is the beauty is simple. Something cool about the car is that the frame is believed to be original from 1934! Of course, it has been boxed and strengthened to withstand the years to come. The suspension has been kept like what it would have been when this car was built from the factory. The front suspension is set up with a transverse leaf spring, with standard leaf springs in the rear. The power of the Phaeton is transferred through the 10-bolt rear end which features 3:10 gearing. The brake system was updated as well with discs on front while leaving drums in the rear. Other added components include: Uni-lite distributor, new master cylinder, third brake light, and coated exhaust manifolds. The dual exhaust is a bonus to the car giving it a nice town which will get a few heads turned your way. Painted in a beautiful 2-tone red and black this car truly is something worth taking a 2nd look at. The running boards of the car are steel, while the fenders are fiberglass. The top is a beautiful beige color and can be kept on or removed for those beautiful summer events. Complimenting the beige top is the 15 spoked wheels that are in great condition. One thing you certainly wont forget about this car is the beautifully large chrome grille, with the nicely added dog statue. Upon entering this cool classic, you will notice this car features the unique suicide doors. What is crazy is that many people dont know why they are called “suicide doors. The reason is simple, if the door were to swing open while driving and you reach to catch it, the wind and force would pull you from the vehicle essentially committing “suicide. By no means am I saying this will happen in this car, its merely where the term came from. The interior features new gauges, tilt column, period correct leather interior that is in good condition, and a spacious back seat for the family.
