The consignor states her to be a 3-4 owner car, that sat in storage for 15-years, repainted at some point, and shows just 47,385-miles on the clock. This survivor is painted in the factory Gold, with Brown top, and a Saddle / Plaid cloth/vinyl interior. Boy those late ‘70s styles, you are brought right-back! History states - in Wikipedia, TR8 coupes are based on the original Harris Mann TR7 design made from 1978 to 1980 and are quite rare; it is estimated that only about 400 TR8 coupes ever existed—this number from records kept by members of the North America-based wedge club, and the Triumph Wedge Owners Association. The engine itself was derived from an early 1960s Buick/Oldsmobile all-aluminium V8 215 cu in (3.52 L) that Rover acquired from General Motors in the mid-60s. The engine is equipped with an Edlebrock aluminum intake, and a Holley 4-barrel carb. This fine example shows very well, and appears to have been well maintained.
