Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this beautiful 1968 Ford Mustang. This Mustang is a complete ground up restoration. All new suspension has lowered the car one inch with 3.89:1 gears and a Detroit locker. The entire car was media blasted and all rust fixed. The underside of the car is all Arma coated glossy black Disc brakes on all four corners made by Stainless Steel Brakes corporation. Of course all new brake lines and fuel lines.The paint is Diamont Extreme color by BASF. This color is called Ocean. This car also has ghost rally stripes that add a very nice touch. The hood is fiberglass 67 Shelby style hood. Thos car went through an extensive body alignment process using very little bondo. The hood, doors and decklid all operate nicely and line up great.New weatherstripping was installed throughout the car as well. The block is a 1967 center oiler 427 FE and has never been bored. A 428 crankshaft was installed and balanced to add more cubes ( 449 cubes to be exact ).This motor has a full roller cam shaft made by Comp Cams. The lift is .645 intake and exhaust. This is and all matching kit. As seen in the pictures the rocker arms are all made by T&D Machine Products. These rocker arms are roller tip. The heads are aluminum Edelbrock NHRA. Ported and polished with 2.25intake valves and 1.76 exhaust valves. The heads are fastened t the block using ARP head studs properly torqued. The compression ratio is 11.23:This block is topped ff with Edelbrock Pro Flo 2 multi point fuel injection. A custom tune was built by Edelbrock to accommodate engine parameters. A hand held calibration module in the cav allows for extensive tuning while driving. Professional tuning was done at Mac Auto Sports in Parker, CO on a chassis Dyno. Final tuning produced 407 HP and 441 ft lbs of torque at the tire.This car has a Tremec T56 Magnum 6 speed transmission, bolted to a Quicktime Bell housing, with a Hydramax Hydraulic Throw out bearing kit. Exhaust gases exit through Hooker super competition headers that are coated inside and out with JetHot coating along with the 2.5 inch H pipe, to Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. The interior of the car is basically stock with the exception of Dakota Digital Gauges and a line lock on the shift handle The sound system is eye rattling with crisp clear highs and plenty of bass. All speakers are JL Audio as well as the amps. A 12 disc cd changer is installed in the trunk for hours of listening enjoyment.
