This fine example has been in the restoration process for the last 5.5-years.The consignor states her to be a numbers matching 442. She is powered by a 400 cu in Big Block, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, with Hurst shifter, and 12-bolt rear end. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2016, bored .28 over, and brought back to factory specs, as was the transmission at that juncture. This 442 is painted in a Dark Green, with Black stripes, Black convertible top, and Black vinyl interior. The fit, finish, and the paint are very well done to show quality, and the majority of the trim is in very good condition, and she just gleams in the sunlight! She was gifted with a brand new convertible top, and theres nothing like a new back window on a convertible! Step inside and the interior appears to be original, with new carpet, showing average wear and patina on the seats and console. Hence the statement of partial restoration - as anyone whos been through it - knows it becomes the “money pit. Thats why its always better to buy one already done!
