Chrysler pulled out all the stops in its drag race program. One of the most feared & successful cars of its era was the model A990 Dodge Coronet. This Cornet is a tribute which had only a very limited run. It was built at the Lynch Road assembly Plant in Michigan. The A990 was a factory-built race car, only 101 units were built between 1964 and 1965 and there are fewer than 25 survivors today. This 1965 Dodge Coronet has a 440 big block built with a SCAT Stroker kit coming in with over 500ci, blue printed and balanced, with many modifications. The frame has been strengthened to prevent body twisting and handle the increased torque and horsepower. It has been slightly altered from the original A990 specs to make it more street able and reliable to drive. A well-done frame off restoration with Black exterior paint and soft Tan leather interior, this 1965 Dodge Coronet looks absolutely amazing! With only 2,000 miles on the rebuilt motor this 65 Dodge Coronet has a long life left ahead of it. The 3-speed automatic transmission makes driving this beauty a wonderful experience.
