Used 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Houston, Texas
Now for sale in our Houston showroom is awesome Pro Street 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Between the cool multi-hued paint scheme with its hand-done flames and striping, the massive big block engine, and custom Chris Alston chassis, this very custom build is ready to rock! This bad boy was painted by Zimmerman Custom Paint and Body in St. Leon, IN, and the paint scheme of silver over blue with custom flame work looks great over its sapphire-colored accents (which include the 2X3 Alston Chassis and third member being painted to match the sapphire accents on the rear valance). Under the hood of this beast is a stout 468 CID V8 engine, based on a .030 over-bored 454, which is topped by a polished aluminum dual-quad intake with a pair of polished Edelbrock 4BBL carbs. Aluminum GM Performance heads complete the top end. Headers with massive primaries funnel the spent fossils into its 3-inch side-exit dual exhaust. The big 468s power is sent to the rear end via a Bowtie reverse manual valve body 700R4 automatic transmission with lockup converter, which spins a Strange Engineering drive shaft. The 200R4 is controlled by a SCS Cheetah ratchet shifter. The big 468 is mounted to the Alston chassis with torque plates, so this nasty ride is set up to handle all of that torque without difficulty. The huge aluminum radiator has a twin Flex-a-Lite electric fan setup to help keep temps in check while youre out roasting the rear tires (or just cruising to the next car show). A stout Moser Engineering nodular rear end case fits into the custom-fabbed third member, and houses a set of 4.11:1 gears, making this Camaro suitable for both street and strip. The 3rd-member is equipped with Alston Chassis Works ladder bars, complete with QA1 adjustable coil-overs, which provides for excellent adjustability for getting this puppy to hook up most effectively. Up front, QA1 adjustable coil-overs keep the Alston tubular upper and lower control arms properly damped, enhancing the handling. If one looks closely, theyll notice that the entire Alston Chassis has been painted in that same sparkling sapphire blue as the rear tail light bezel. When it comes time to slow down, the driver will appreciate the polished four-piston Wilwood calipers and slotted rotors up front; along with the four-piston Wilwood calipers and rotors out back. Custom Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dog aluminum wheels are at all 4 corners (18 X 6 front, 20 X 16 rear), shod by 26X8.00/R18 M/T Sportsman radials up front, and gigantic 33X22.00/R20 M/T Sportsman radials out back; which are neatly tucked in the tubbed rear, and give it a real race-ready stance. Moving inward, youll marvel at the custom gray synthetic leather interior, which was done entirely by the folks at Cutters Custom Stitchin in Dilsboro, IN. In addition to the hidden billet aluminum door releases, they also tucked the head unit for the stereo into a nifty overhead console and continued the console motif with a matching custom center console that runs the length of the passenger compartment like the overheads design. The roll cage inside is unobtrusive and allows for the use of the Simpson racing harnesses, which youll feel are more than appropriate for a car with the kind of performance this one has; plus, youll find a chrome fire extinguisher next to each seat. A complete set of AutoMeter ProComp gauges are evident and help keep the driver informed of critical engine stats. Additional features and options on the Pro Street 1969 Chevrolet Camaro include Aluminum Alloy Wheels, AM/FM/CD Radio, Power Windows, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Synthetic Leather Interior.
