The Raptor was first introduced in 2009, when Ford added the extremely capable Raptor to the F150 lineup. In 2011, all Raptors started with what had previously been an optional engine, the 411HP 6.2L V8. For some owners, 400+ HP was not enough, as was the case with this Raptor. This Raptor is quite literally a wolf in sheeps clothing - its unassuming white exterior hides a meat-grinding drivetrain. With only about 8200 miles on the recently upgraded drivetrain, this truck is just getting broken in. Underneath the relatively stock exterior lies a Livernois Motorsports Stage 2 Stroker V8, displacing 400 CID (6.6L). 9.5:1 compression ratio pistons handle the 12PSI of boost that the 2.9L Whipple WK-200355P supercharger is dishing out. Behind the big, bad, blown mill is a 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission, which was built by Circle D Transmissions. The tranny is equipped with Exedy Stage 2 clutches, billet intermediate shaft, and has a converter release valve. The trans was built to handle up to 1000HP, which means it is plenty capable of handling the roughly 700 flywheel HP that the engine is putting out. With that much power, its a good thing that the oil pump has been upgraded to a high volume configuration with billet gears, and the heat exchanger has been upgraded with twin fans. A set of Kooks headers get the exhaust gases into the custom 3 stainless 2-into-1 exhaust; which, when this beast is lit up, will get the attention of anyone nearby. The entire powertrain package was installed and tuned by Blue Oval Performance in Arlington, TX; and their information states that the engine is capable of supporting 1300HP. A separate SCT Tuner is included, which allows the truck to be quickly switched between tunes for street and performance modes. The 4-wheel chassis dyno sheet on this truck shows 593.2 HP/643.2 TQ at the wheels on the street tune; so, its definitely not running on the ragged edge of what the drivetrain was built to be capable of. Three additional monitoring gauges have been added to the dash to help the driver keep tabs on all critical powertrain operating information. The factory Fox shocks have been replaced by upgraded King Off-Road Shocks with remote reservoirs, which adds even greater high-speed off-road racing capability vs. the already prodigious off-road capability that the Raptor was designed to have. To aid visibility during ultra-high-speed off-roading at night, custom LED lighting puts out enough lumens that youll be visible from passenger aircraft above. If, somehow you find yourself outrunning your lights at night, or just needing to haul down from triple digits in the neighborhood, stab the binder pedal, and the big multi-piston brake calipers will grab the drilled/slotted rotors and haul this wolf down to more appropriate speeds quickly. The truck is offered in a blinding white exterior with a black leather interior. Inside the cabin you wont find the rugged uncomfortable interior youd expect from a high-powered off-road machine. Instead, you will find luxury and creature comforts. You can choose to sit back and listen to the whine of the supercharger or turn on the upgraded stereo system.
