Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia welcomes this rare Bird to our inventory. This 1971 Cameo White 1971 Trans Am is one of 1231 Built that year according to the Pontiac Historical Society. It has a High Output 455 V8 with a functional Ram Air Scoop. Increase the throttle and the back of the shaker hood scoop opens allowing fresh air to flow in. A turbo 400 automatic transmission transfers the power to a 3:08 Posi traction rear end. Original honeycomb wheels with BFG radial tires (the only tires you put on a Trans Am) transfer power to the ground. This was the first year for the high back seats in a Trans AM, power steering power front disc brakes and power windows. Factory AM radio with a completely restored console mounted 8 track player. The stereo has been upgraded with modern electronics and I pod interface. A rear window defroster and tilt steering are also options. This is a straight rust free car. The body was completely disassembled and stripped to bare metal. All the correct decals were applied. All the weather stripping and the window felts were replaced. The interior was completely restored with all gauges are working. The dash has none of the usual cracks that Firebirds are known for. The motor was just rebuilt less than 500 miles ago and is blueprinted with a roller camshaft and lifters.
