The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Fuel Injected Split Window Coupe is one of the most sought after American classic cars and a must have for any collector. The 1963 Corvette not only had a new design which is one of the most beautiful cars ever to come out of Detroit but also newfound handling prowess. This Vette just went through a frame-off restoration within the last several months. Powered by a numbers matching RF code 327 Fuel Injected 360 hp motor that was recently rebuilt with only ten miles since the rebuild. Mated to the engine is the original numbers matching Muncie 4-speed. Finished in the original black combination - Black over black leather - this Corvette is unequivocally stunning. The one-year-only split window coupes have become very rare and been proven to be an excellent investment. This car has aluminum wheels and Coker Classic Red-Line tires that really set it off. The C2 Sting Ray was also somewhat lighter than the C1 Corvette, so acceleration and performance were improved despite unchanged horsepower. For the 1963 model year 21513 units would be built which was up 50 percent from the record-setting 1962 version. Production was divided almost evenly between the convertible and the new split window coupe - 10919 and 10594 respectively - with just a hand full produced with optional fuel injection.
