VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1969 Plymouth Road Runner for sale in OFallon, Illinois

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars is a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible! This beauty is painted in Sunfire Yellow with a Black vinyl Power soft top and Black Highline vinyl interior. Complimenting the look is a set of 14 inch Road Wheels wrapped in F70x14 Redline tires. The Redlines offer a nice contrast to the Yellow and black and work quite well with the red painted hood vents. Power comes from a non numbers matching 383 Super Commando (date coded 1967 block) with 906 heads and sends power through the well known and stout 727 Torque Flight automatic. Both have been rebuilt and have roughly 10,000 miles on them. Out back is an 8 3/4 rear end housing a set of 3.23 highway gears ready to hit the open road. Theres just something about the sound of a big block Mopar and this is no exception. The Flow Master mufflers and aluminized exhaust offer the perfect amount of Mopar rumble and with the top down, it’s even better! The engine has been fitted with a 600 Edelbrock carburetor and electronic ignition, both are great upgrades. It also has a Group 27 battery, optional headrest, tinted windshield, Power steering and Power brakes with a disc brake conversion for the front. The car is an original Sunfire Yellow and was repainted about 8 years ago. The numbers on the radiator core support and left rear quarter panel under the trunk weather strip both match the VIN making this one of the 1,880 Road Runner convertibles built for the 1969 model year. 1969 was also the year that the Road Runner was the Motor Trend Car of the Year! The front end was recently checked and aligned making this a great cruiser! For more information on this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000.
