This was a barn-find that was restored from the ground up, and what a very nice restoration that was done to it. BACKGROUND: The first-generation Ford F-Series is a series of pickup trucks and commercial vehicles produced by Ford. Introduced in late 1947, the F-Series was the first post-war truck design from Ford. The first generation of the F-Series would remain in production until 1952. Model designations for trucks were badged as F-1s. The 1948 model, features a wider, longer, and taller cabs. Originally, the 1948 would have been powered by a 225, 239, 254, or 337; all of which couldnt get over 145 HP. (Source: Wikipedia) This restored 1948 Ford F-1 is being powered by a Ford Boss 302 is a high-performance small block. The transmission is a Ford C4 is a three-speed, medium-duty automatic transmission.
