The frame-off and bolt replacement restoration included all new or reworked sheet metal and all new paint. BACKGROUND: The C/K was Chevrolet and GMCs full-size pickup truck line from October 1959 until 2000 in the United States and Canada, from 1964 to 2001 in Brazil, and from 1975 to 1982 in Chile. A new, more modern look came in 1966 for 1967, along with a new nickname: Action Line. It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. Other non-mechanical restoration work included handmade exhaust with NASCAR style side exit collector/tips. handmade steel rear spoiler, extra wide rear-wheel tubs, gauge cluster, Billet brushed interior handles, LED front and rear lights, Billet tail light bezels, upgraded gauge cluster, sound deadening pads, and much more. Underneath the hood is a rebuilt 454 engine from Precision Engines. The transmission is a performance built 4L60 overdrive from Transmissions to Go. It also has Holley fuel injection, custom front pulley drive system, vintage air system, power brakes - complete with wiring harnesses from American auto wire, electric fans, aluminum radiator, Bear 14 - 6 piston - drilled & slotted big rotors front and rear brakes, TCI suspension, ridetech adjustable coil over shocks, big sway bars, tubular control arms, Moser Ford 9 rear end, 3.73 fear, Detroit Tru Trach Posi unit, aluminum fuel tank, electric fuel pump, and much much more.
