This build literally solves that conundrum: a Chevrolet 454 CID big-block V8 has been expertly fitted in the engine bay and comes bursting at the seams with 485 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque (these claims are made by the seller and not verified by Gateway Classic Cars). Much of what is under the hood is high performance or upgraded including a mild cam, high compression heads, aftermarket radiator/cooling system and a 650 Edelbrock carburetor. This motor is paired with a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt less than 2000 miles ago. This British icon that was once calm and composed with a stiff upper lip has been brashly Americanized by our seller, who has owned this Jag for a quarter of a century, and we love it.
