Gateway Classic Cars is presenting this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda Formula ‘S’ for sale in our Philadelphia location. This Barracuda is powered by the original 273 CI V8. The 273 engine was made available as an upgraded Commando version with a four-barrel carburetor, 10.5:1 compression, and the more aggressive solid camshaft. About 90 percent were ordered with the optional 180 horsepower 273 CI V-8, backed by the original four speed manual transmission. This Barracuda is a beauty. In 1965, this Silver Barracuda was fitted with the Formula S package. It included the Commando 273, a tachometer, heavy-duty shocks, springs, sway bar, and Goodyear Blue Streak tires on wide-rim 14-inch wheels (replacing the usual 13-inchers). The Black Vinyl interior gives it the bold look that takes you right back to 1965. Other Options on the Barracuda are Power Steering and seat belts.
