VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1971 Toyota FJ40 for sale in DFW Airport, Texas

For sale at our Dallas-Fort Worth Gateway Classic Cars showroom is this restored 1971 Toyota FJ40. Toyota started production of the Land Cruiser FJ40 in 1960 and began importing them to the US in 1963. The last US-bound FJ-40 rolled off the line in 1983, but they made a brief comeback as a modern SUV in the US called the FJ Cruiser from 2006 to 2014. From 1963 to 1983 the FJ40 saw little change aesthetically, the only real changes were improvements in technology mechanically. The classic FJs are as comfortable on a trail as they are on the highway because they were designed to do anything you could ever ask it to do and do it well. This FJ40 had its beefy inline 6-cylinder engine rebuilt in 2016 and has had less than 1,000 miles put on it since that time. The body paint is nice and new. Adding to the fresh look of the paint are the newer alloy wheels. Inside youll find folding bench seats behind the passenger and driver seats. These folding seats made carrying additional passengers easy, but also allowed for maximum cargo space, as opposed to the folding rear seat in the Jeep CJ series. The fiberglass hardtop on this FJ40 is removable like a Jeep, although it does require a bit more work. Once the top is off though, it is totally worth it, as is has an awesome topless appearance. If you are looking for an FJ40 that is ready to immediately enjoy on or off-road and that is priced to sell, youve found it. This FJ would make a great weekend warrior or a daily driver and will put most new 4x4s to shame off the pavement. Vintage 4x4s are in high demand, and most have rusted away to nothing. Luckily this Toyota has been well preserved and is ready for many more years of duty. To view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
