The original engine was replaced by this factory replacement block so it is date code correct. Quite a few upgrades were done to the engine including: Edelbrock Performer Intake, Holley carb, Comp Cams camshaft, Hedman ceramic coated headers, and a Be-Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Out back the 12 bolt 3.55 rear end puts the power to the ground through radial tires wrapping the popular Boyd Coddington Wheels. Options include AM/FM/CD player, vinyl interior, seat belts, custom wheels, radial tires, and power steering. The 1969 Chevelle SS is one of Americas most recognized Muscle Car Icons, the 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle was produced with only minor styling changes, including new taillamps. With another record climbing sales year the Chevelle was on the rise and the SS 396 became an option package on all Chevelles and this one is beleived by its owner to be an SS model.
