VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1969 Buick GS for sale in Dearborn, Michigan

Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this amazing 1969 Buick GS 400 Stage 1. The Stage 1 was a bit of a humble legend in the muscle car world when it arrived. Although its GM brethren motor divisions were producing cars like GTO, Chevelle SS and 4-4-2’s, that didnt mean Buick was standing pat. In fact, the GS 400 got standard functional hood scoops for 69, something none of its higher-profile corporate siblings had. The Cool Air induction system used a twin-snorkel air cleaner with two foam muffs that sealed against the scoop openings. Some local circles even dubbed the car “The Judge Killer”. New for 1969 were the Stage 1 and Stage 2 options on these iconic muscle cars. Stage 1 boosted output to 345 bhp. It had a high-lift cam, 11.0:1 compression instead of 10.25:1, a special carburetor and fuel pump, and larger low-restriction exhausts. Currently under the hood is a Stage 1 400 which appears to be the #s matching engine, that has been completely rebuilt with invoices on the overhaul. The Protect-O- Plate is included with this Buick and it also includes the dealer copy of the order sheet. Power is paired to a TH400 floor mounted automatic and spins the Posi rear end to translate power to pavement. This GS 400 Stage 1 is only 1 of 832 automatic’s ever built and with power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning it makes this muscle car a blast to drive. You can confidently drive this Buick anywhere although its main use was as a fair-weather cruiser. The GS 400 Stage 1 is dressed in white with a white vinyl top which accents all of the chrome with a touch of luxury and class. The interior is a place of comfort just as Buick intended and provides great options like tilt wheel and extremely comfortable bucket seats with a console. Buick rallyes look mirror like and the clock is just about the only thing not working on this beauty. If you’ve been looking for an iconic muscle car that you can drive and enjoy, this is likely your best candidate.
