Powered by the original 5.7l L98 V8 and partnered with the 6-speed manual transmission, this targa-top beauty is a blast to drive. IF this car looks familiar, you may have seen it either on “Dream Car Garage where it was featured in a 13 episode special, it has been featured on the Mid America Motorworks catalog as a cover car, and it was also on the cover of the June 2005 issue of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. Its fair to say this car gets some attention! For those of you unfamiliar with Dream Car Garage, they take a stock or mostly stock vehicle, and apply a series of upgrades during the course of the show to take the vehicle to the next level. Having been a part of the show, this Corvette has seen some high end parts installed, and it wont take more than a minute behind the wheel to feel the difference. An Opima Red Top battery has been fitted to make sure the Corvette cranks strong whenever you need to scratch your speed itch. An Accel distributor and spark plug wired keep a strong spark going to all 8 cylinders. A ram air intake with a high-flow filter element let as much air in as possible while blocking all the road dust. Winding this engine out to 5,500rpms sounds great thanks to the Corsa exhaust system singing the whole time. Once up to speed, the vehicle is kept stable thanks to Bilstien struts at all 4 corners. Making sure there is ample grip is always important in a performance vehicle, and a set of Yokohama tires do the job tremendously. Going fast is great, but having total control of the vehicle is the icing on the cake. Being able to safely and quickly bring any vehicle to a stop lets you push the envelope just a bit further, and thanks to Baer brakes both front and rear, you can really let it all hang out. With a freshly redone interior, this Corvette has had all of its bases covered.
