VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1962 Chevrolet C10 for sale in Ruskin, Florida

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this excellent 1962 Chevrolet C10. The first-generation Chevrolet fleetside short bed is one of the most sought-after body styles that GM ever produced. Launched in the fall of 1959, the 1960 model year introduced a new body style of light pick-up truck that featured many firsts. Most important of these were a drop-center ladder frame, allowing the cab to sit lower, and independent front suspension, giving an almost car-like ride in a truck. Also new for 1960 was a new designation system for trucks made by GM. Gone were the 3100, 3200, and 3600 designations for short 1/2, long 1/2 and 3/4-ton models. Instead, a new scheme assigned a 10, 20, or 30 for 1/2, 3/4, and 1-ton models. Since 1957, trucks were available from the factory as four-wheel drive, and the new class scheme would make this known. This truck is powered by an inline 6-cylinder engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. When walking around this truck you will notice the turquoise and white paint theme. The bumpers, grille, cab, and dash are all white to offset the light green paint on the body and wheels. The wooden bed floor really sets off the style of this truck. The gas tank has been taken out of the cab and installed in the bed under the toolbox. The battery has also been moved to the bed and has been covered. Rally wheels and white letter tires have been added to make the trucks curb appeal stand out from others. There is also a tow hitch and duel exhaust coming out of the rear of this truck. When you get into the cab of this truck you will notice the blue bucket seats and white shifter on the floor. The gauges have also been upgraded along with a GT steering wheels added. This truck is perfect for a daily cruiser or even to take to be shown at car shows. Do not let this awesome 1962 Chevrolet short bed pass you by.
