VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 for sale in Indianapolis, Indiana

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1935 Rolls Royce 20/25 Touring Limousine for sale in their Indianapolis showroom. What an amazing piece of automotive heritage! The 20/25 was Rolls Royce second pre-war entry level sedan. Offered between 1929 and 1936 it became one of Rolls Royces most successful selling models. The 20/25 enabled Rolls Royce to survive the economic climate of the Great Depression and is largely responsible for keeping the brand alive. This beautiful example still runs with the original inline 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission, and purrs like a kitten. Never rebuilt or molested, The Rolls had a repaint done in 1986, and at some point in her life the leather has been replaced. An additional coil was added to make the car easier and more dependable when starting, and an electric fan was fitted to keep the engine cool while in slower traffic. The car still has an operational centralized lubrication system, hand-crank start, Rolls Royce 2-jet carburetor, and specialized tools to remove the wheels. The all-aluminum body and custom coachwork was done by Park Ward, and paperwork exists that shows the original clients build requests and specifications. ALL ALUMINUM BODY! This Rolls was first commissioned in November of 1935, with the chassis being finished in January of 1936. The Park Ward custom body was then completed and delivered to the new owner on August 1, 1936. Built to British specs, the Rolls is a right-hand driver. Some additional features include; a manual sliding sunroof, adjustable glass partition to allow separation of the passenger compartment from the driver, courtesy lamps, nd braided assist cords, rear passenger compartment and tray, rear seat arm rest, front bumper center-mounted driving lamp, dash lights, and the Spirit of Ecstasy radiator ornament. The opportunity rarely presents itself to own such a magnificent automobile. OMG, this is such a nice well cared for car that would look good in anyones collection!
