Originally introduced to compete with the Chevrolet Corvette, but we quickly learned that the Corvette could not keep pace with the Ford Thunderbird, outselling the corvette 23 to 1!! These 1957 Ford Thunderbirds were a hot ticket 1957 and they’re a hot ticket today. With only 10,000 miles since the rebuild on this 1957 Ford Thunderbird it’s ready to be driven. This particular 57 Thunderbird wasn’t rebuilt by some shade tree mechanic; this Thunderbird was rebuilt by none other than Hills classic cars. With an attention to detail that isn’t easily matched this car will be impressing bystanders and judges for years to come. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tailfins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in (5.1 L) V8 became the Thunderbirds standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. The beautiful blue paint white top and matching interior this car screams class. This is a car you can drive topless during the summer months but make sure you throw the top back on during the winter months.
