VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1965 Ford Mustang for sale in DFW Airport, Texas

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this 1965 Ford Mustang fastback. This gorgeous Mustang Fastback was fully restored 15 years ago and just had a gorgeous fresh full paint job! Powered by a mildly built 289 backed by a 5-speed manual transmission and putting power to the ground through a 8” Currie rear end with 3.55 gears, this baby will move! This pony car is made much more enjoyable to drive with 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes and cold blowing A/C. The A/C is R134-A, so it is cheap and easy to recharge if it ever needs it. Other options include vinyl interior, seat belts, radial tires, aluminum alloy wheels, AM/FM/CD player, and fold down rear seat. During the restoration most of the metal on the car was replaced with new to make for a very solid Fastback! New exhaust including new manifolds and full dual exhaust was just done in 2015 along with high back bucket seats, and a new hydraulic clutch. The front end of this 65 was given a 66 grill which most people prefer as it is a cleaner look. Badging and emblems are kept to a minimum to maintain that smooth and clean look all around the car. 1965 was the first year for the mustang and is split into 2 categories: Early 1965 which is also known as the 1964 1/2 cars, and Late 1965 which include beauties like this example. There were small differences between the two, but the latter did use an alternator instead of a generator which almost everyone will agree was an upgrade. The fold down rear seat is the reason these cars were called 2+2s. You had a two-seat cruiser with the back seat folded down or you could put it up and seat 2 more passengers. Don’t miss your chance to own a very solid 65 Mustang priced on the lower end of the market!
