This stylish yellow and white T-bird is ready to be shown or enjoyed as a Sunday cruiser. This piece of Ford history was restored in about 10 years ago in Miami Florida and has been garage kept since. One of the most beautiful pieces of Americana, they were considered to be direct competition to the Chevrolet Corvette. Helping spawn a new generation of automobiles in the United States, and aimed to take on the European market, the Ford Thunderbird was powered by a 292 CID V8, which gave the already smaller, lighter car the power it needed to make for both an excellent road racer as well as the perfect car for older couples to sit back and enjoy a movie at the drive-in. The current owner is a collector and has meticulously maintained this baby bird to be kept in amazing condition. The odometer is reading 1,679 which is the miles since the restoration. This car features the period correct and rebuilt 292 wide block V8 engine paired to a redone 3 speed automatic transmission. The yellow and white theme on this car is one of the stylish thunderbird appearances we have had the honor of listing with Gateway Classic Cars. There is a black soft top as well as the painted white hard top. The white wall tires and chrome wire wheels off set the yellow paint perfectly.
