Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to list this sharp 1989 Ford Mustang. This Screaming Yellow Mustang has been rebuilt and modified with tons of upgrades. This ’89 Mustang is a perfect starter car into the drag racing world or even just a reliable driver quality car. This Stang’s 302 engine and automatic with overdrive transmission was rebuilt about 20k miles ago. The Richmond rear end is geared to a 4.10:1 and even has a B&M line lock on the shifter to help get the burnouts started. Many upgrades have been made to make this car win as many races as it has. The current owner for the last 14 years has placed each winning sticker on the back window for all to admire. The engine has FlooTek 5.0 aluminum heads, a Ford Racing B-303 Cam, Trend push rods, Ford GT-40 upper and lower intakes, 65mm throttle body, FlowMaster exhaust system with off road H pipe, and Pypes shorty headers. The AOD transmission has been modified with a shift kit, has a external transmission cooler, Godspeed torque box kit, a Lakewood driveshaft loop, Competition Engineering reinforced torque boxes, and a Lupo’s Dynamic 10 inch torque converter. House of color painted this Mustang the Screaming Yellow paint scheme with black cloth interior. The body does have a fiberglass cowl hood with pins that was also painted to match and installed. The wheels are Weld Draglite 3 ½ in the front and 8 inches in the rear. New drag radials have been installed on all 4 wheels that are 275x50x15 and stick right to the track. Suspension is a huge factor when lighting up the competition down a drag strip. This Mustang has been upgraded to Eibach Drag launch springs, QA1 tubular K Frame, Strange adjustable drag shocks, KYB adjustable struts, Granatelli upper and lower control arms, and Summit Racing sub frame connectors. This Mustang originally came from New York and has only had 5 owners in the last 30 years.
