VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1997 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Milwaukee has a beautiful 1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS It features a rare Seabring Silver paint and grey interior here at Gateway Classic Cars. It has all the creature comforts including Air Conditioning, T-Tops, Power windows, brakes, steering, locks etc… This is a great driving vehicle that looks awesome. For the 1997 model year, the Camaro featured a new interior and tri-colored taillights that would be standard on all models from 1997 to 2002. It was offered with a 30th Anniversary Limited Edition that included unique orange stripes on white base paint. It was only available on the Z28 and SS models. It should be noted that Chevrolet never made the SS themselves during this year range Camaro. The SS was made by SLP by taking a Z28 and adding a T56 6-speed manual transmission bolted up to the LT block in place of the 5 speed that came with the Z28. A 30th Anniversary Camaro may be identified by RPO code Z4C on the trim tag. A total of 979 30th Anniversary SS Camaros were made in 1997. An additional 108 30th Anniversary Camaro SS vehicles were modified by SLP to include a 330-horsepower and 340 lb·ft version of the LT4 engine (108 total LT4 cars were made, 100 US, 6 Canadian & 2 prototypes). SS cars will have RPO code R7T. The LT4 was the fastest factory-built Camaro available, as well as the most expensive at US$40,000. New 5-spoke 16-inch wheels became standard on the Z28 this year (17 ZR1 style on SS coupe models) available in either polished, chrome, or white on the 30th Anniversary models, replacing the previous 10-spoke design. This car also features T-tops for when the weather permits, and you want to have some outside air run through your hair while speeding down the road in this performance oriented beast.
