This 1978 Dodge D100 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The D/W series of truck from MOPAR was released in 1961 with D designating the 2WD models and the W for 4WD models. Dodge was one of the first manufactures to offer a high-performance truck when in 1964 they allowed you to order a 426 wedge in not only their CSS truck but in a stripped-down base model. This green beast was built with the same high performance in mind when the restoration was done. Taken off the frame and starting from scratch the old 318 was replaced with this built 440 providing plenty of power. Feeding just the right amount of fuel to that big block is an Edelbrock 4 barrel sitting on top of the matching Edelbrock intake. With the spent gasses being sent through a set of headers and out the back courtesy of the dual exhaust this is one mean sounding MOPAR. The 727 Torque Flite transmission handles the extra grunt with ease shifting thru the gears smoothly. The exterior of this D100 is spot on with the light powder green accented by the dark silver bumpers and grill. The lowered stance goes well with the custom wheels and give the truck that sporty look. Inside was given the Sport Truck treatment with a set of buckets with the center armrest having the ability to be flipped up for a third passenger. The under-dash AC is plenty to keep the cab of this D100 nice and cool.
