This awesome 1953 Ford F100 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The F series truck has been one of the most iconic American vehicles ever built. If you want to get technical about it the introduction of the F-100 in 1953 is really the ones that put an exclamation point on that statement. Designed with the consumer in mind the cab now had a full 5 ft of space. The wrap around windshield not only looked great but gave the driver a better unobstructed view. Over the years these trucks have lent themselves to customizers making for a great canvas to add their personal touches to. This example has had extensive work performed transforming it into the custom you see today. The most notable of this work ahs to be the paint. Using a house of color pearl white for the base the paint is slick and show worthy. The flake adds to the custom look and is what you would see on show trucks of the late 60’s. The airbrushed design is reminiscent of Larry Watson’s style and is as custom as they come. Under the hood is a small block 350 that was purchased new when the truck was built. The chrome dress-up kit looks great with the chrome valve covers going nicely with the air cleaner. Bought new with the engine the TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with smooth shifts through all 3 gears. The belly burner exhaust is unique and something that was done back in the late 60’ and early 70’s keeping with that classic custom theme. The running boards have been done in vinyl and match the exterior styling which has been carried on to the inside. The bench seat has been covered in that same vinyl along with the door panels which ties the whole truck together.
