Powering this 25th Anniversary Corvette is an L48 350 CID V8 with the 3 speed 350 automatic transmission in charge of transferring the power to the pavement. The door panels were redesigned, and an actual glove box was added on the passenger side of the dash, which replaced the map pockets that were in the same position on previous models. The speedometer and the tachometer were redesigned to match the center console gauges that were introduced in 1977. Some new options were available in 1978 as well, power locks, dual rear speakers, power antenna, and a CB radio.
