Introduced in the 1959–1960 model years in response to the success of the Ford Ranchero pickup, its first run lasted only two years. Production resumed for the 1964–1977 model years based on the Chevelle platform and continued for the 1978–1987 model years based on the GM G-body platform. This beautiful 1965 Maroon El Camino has a healthy 330HP, 350CID small block Chevy breathing life under the hood! Back by a fun-to-drive 4-speed with power being sent to a 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 gears, this Elco is a blast to drive. Engine goodies under the hood include an HEI ignition, Edelbrock intake and Holly dual-line carb. This car also has front disc brakes and Rally Wheels wrapped in new tires to make stopping all that power a breeze! The new owner also gets a dress-up it that includes valve covers, air cleaner cover and oil baffle with all t-handle screws to hold it down.
