The original “Eleanor” was a customized 1971 Ford Mustang featured in the 1974 film “Gone in 60 Seconds” and is the only Ford Mustang in history to receive a star title credit in a movie. A remake of the film released in 2000 once again featured a Ford Mustang, in this case, a Dupont Pepper Grey 1967 fastback depicted as a Shelby GT500 with a customized body kit. Three surviving vehicles used in the film were later sold to the public amid much fanfare. This beautiful 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible is a Tribute to Eleanor and done to very high standards. The motor is a freshly rebuilt 2006 Ford 351 Windsor crate engine mated to a top-loader 4-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. The owner reports 2,244 miles since the build.
